Garlic Haters

One of the hardest things for me to believe, to wrap my head around, to even begin to comprehend is...how someone can not like like garlic.

I've never met such a person but I know one exists...one lurks.

Anyone out there that doesn't like garlic? Please please explain. I am desperate to understand you.

Hear me out.
I love garlic. I find myself including it in at least one meal a day. So for me it is an awesome ingredient with one caveat: not too much.

I went to a restaurant in L.A. called the The Stinking Rose. Everything, absolutely everything except for the drinks has garlic as a central ingredient. I thought it was totatlly cool, ate the meal, desert. Went home couldn't sleep. There was this strange metabolic heat that was emanating from my visceral organs. I also had to sleep with my mouth open cause it felt as if my mouth were a blow dryer on really low speed pushing out noxious digestive garlic by product.

So there I was in super light sleep, face up, mouth agape praying for the food gods to destroy me.

I ended a meaningful relationship after I learned of her allergy to garlic.
(You can't trust anyone who doesn't like the tasty pearls from God.)

I ate at the Stinking Rose in San Franny and had a garlic basted steak and garlic ice cream. Also took home a bottle of garlic olive oil. Nothing's repeated on me yet. :)
